Val Apua and the rock cliff
Val Aupa starts from the pass of Cereschiatis, at 1066 meters above sea level, and it follows the flow of the Aupa stream it reaches the confluence with the Tagliamento at Moggio Udinese, at about 300 meters above sea level. It connects Pontebba with Moggio.
The rock is a compact limestone with notches and drops, sometimes a little washed out. Contrary to what one might think, the climbing style is quite physically demanding for a wall of this inclination and the fun is guaranteed!
